However, it’s when they’re aged around 9 weeks that they should be introduced to new environments and experiences. That includes meeting new people, walking on different surfaces like grass, seeing other animals, and hearing more unusual household noises.

 

After about 14 weeks, puppies may become more cautious or fearful of unfamiliar things, so early, positive exposure is vital for them to become confident adults.
